N ~ O ~ E ~ L !

On Crooked Creek,
our favorite phrase of the Christmas Season. . .

Noel is a French word
originating from Latin meaning "birthday".

The blocks spelling N O E L were made by "Mr. Ed" !

Another source states,
Noel has a French origin meaning "Christmas".

Atop the red china cabinet on the lower level,
a fitting place of presence
for our family "Christmas" celebration !

Pronounced. . . NOH ~

Joined by our Garden Fairy,
she is keeping watch over our festivites
from on high !

                          el.

Faux greenery, vintage Christmas ornaments
a vintage butter churn and our Garden fairy
make a lovely sight to behold atop the red cabinet !

So~o~o. . .
if one combines the two,

"Mr. Ed" and I wish you a Joyeux N O E L !

you have. . . Christmas birthday !

 On Crooked Creek
My Christmas letter header
was written days before the events of Newton, Connecticut.

N O E L
". . .the Angels did say
was to certain poor shepherds in fields where they lay."
Even in His beginning ~
Christ came to give hope
to shepherds in difficult and trying times.
The same holds true today
in these difficult and trying times ~
Christ comes to give us hope.
                                              N O E L

Until next time. . .

  4. I just knew Mr Ed made those! Love them..but makes me think of my Girlfriend. She use to tell the story of how her Grandmother had the NOEL boys and her brothers were always changing it to read
    LEON.

    I like Noel better.
