With Springs arrival comes an awakening
in the Lower Level Family Room!
Streamlining in the Lower Level Family Room
consisted primarily of removing the Christmas decor!
The wool Pendelton plaid blanket
was folded and placed inside the basket
beneath the end table!
Removing the circular green heavy ceramic tray,
I brought an oval white wicker tray from the upper level
to corral all the candles on the coffee table.
Once the wool blanket was removed,
just a fluffing of our Pottery Barn pillows
was all that was needed on the couch.
Lighting is key,
as only two small windows were placed
in our 1970's Ranch Style Home
on the Lower Level Family Room!
I use candles, overhead lighting,
task lighting and what tiny bit of naural light
I can, to keep this Family Room looking fresh!
One of my favorite purchased vintage pieces,
this red desk and garage $ale youth~size Windsor chair
are angled to create a connecting flow from
Living Area to Dining Area!
( We'll view that red desk more fully in an upcoming post!)
On Crooked Creek,
with an awakening of the Lower Level Family Room,
I am ready to welcome Spring!!!
Until next time. . .

ReplyDeleteLooks wonderful, Pat!
ReplyDeletePat- It is looking like Spring down there. I love the soft light colors and that little red desk and chair-wow-what a find! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI imagine that your family room must be a lovely place to sit. The colours and textures you've chosen strike a very restful chord. The small Windsor chair was quite a find!
ReplyDeleteOh I am so loving your corner with your table and hutch. That little table is also very beautiful in your room. Spring has sprung in your lower level.
ReplyDeleteAll over spring colors in your lovely living room. Love it all. Happy St. Pat's weekend.

I love that big basket by the table. That basket would take over my house, but it would be so fun to have.
ReplyDeletePat, looks like a comfortable place to spend time. Love the little Windsor chair. We don't have children, but I've always been taken with these charmers. I have several around the house. The latest find is a wicker chair w/ottoman. I bought it thinking it could be Sadie's chair out in the sun room. Can't get her to spend time in it. ~ Sarah
ReplyDeleteIt looks all cozy and pretty Pat! A nice place to curl up with a good book, and yes, it looks like spring!
ReplyDeleteWell I am here dear friend to tell you two things...
ReplyDeleteYour room looks beautiful!
...and we are getting more snow tomorrow...yuk.
No spring here yet!
