Dear Ones,
Does anyone know what's up with Blogger??? This post is on July 11, 2011!
Fondly,
Pat
Today, On Crooked Creek is joining Tam @ The Gypsy's Corner for Three or More Tuesday with three types of roses grown On Crooked Creek. . .rose bushes, rambling roses and tea roses.
My first Mother's Day On Crooked Creek, "Mr. Ed" bought a pair of Gingersnap Rose Bushes. The pair sit on either side of the front flower bed. Gingersnap Rose Bushes Mother's Day 2004!
This beautiful fuchsia rose bush is a double knock out. My Mother's Day gift from our son and daughter~in~law just last year. Mother's Day 2010!
This fuchsia rambler rose hasn't fared well the past two years. Originally the largest rambler rose when we arrived On Crooked Creek, time has taken its toll. Last year we thought it had expired. . .but this year it has been given a new lease on life!
Every year I beg "Mr. Ed" to cut this rambler rose to the ground, dig it out, or just chop it up. He always says, ". . .just give it time." Time to shine. . .this year it was at it's most beautiful ever! The blooms were absolutely divine!
My Mother's Day gift from our son and daughter~in~law this year ~ two dainty tea roses. One is red. The other is pink. When they arrived On Crooked Creek they were side ~ by ~ side in this adorable double planter! Tea roses Mother's Day 2011!
Just like your children. . .can you choose a favorite???
I certainly can't!!!
One thing I am certain of. . . love grows here. . .On Crooked Creek.
Until next time. . .
Just a Note:
The high temperatures of 111 degrees here on the Prairie. . .and yet, just this morning I have three new rose buds. The gingersnap rose bush, the fushia rose bush and the red tea rose! Just in time for Three Or More Tuesday with Tam!!!
I LOVE roses, and yours are exquisite!!! I miss having them.....
ReplyDeleteHow fabulous they all look...I especially love the orange one.
