Savor The Season!

Drought ~
    Intense heat ~
        Triple Digit Temperatures ~

With the Sweltering Summer of 2012 behind us,
I'm anxiously awaiting Autumn's Arrival.

I definitely intend to Savor the Season! ! !

I began earlier On Crooked Creek
with this years Autumnal decor
due to the drought, intense heat and triple digit temperatures!

Once the dining room chandelier was adorned to welcome Autumn,
the next decor change came to the dining room table.

Bringing in sprigs of bittersweet
keeps a cohesive flow from the chandelier to the table.

A miniature pumpkin and berry candle wreath,
fitting closely to the base of the hurricane,
grounds this complimentary centerpiece.

Sliding the sprigs of petite Autumnal hued florals
underneath the wreath
adds a touch of softness to this otherwise twiggy accessory.

For added height,
a headily scented mulled cider pillar candle
sets atop a wooden jar lid base.

I adore this soft, buttery yellow damask tablecloth!
Paired with my Autumnal hued paisley place mats
continues the coordinated color palette.

Using the complimentary reverse floral pattern
for the napkin gives another dimension to the place setting.
Wooden napkin rings keep that natural element.

Smaller ivory scalloped plates repeat the creamy hues of the chandelier when placed atop the brown edged honey hued dinner plates and calm the Autumnal hues.

Clear Libby Claret wine glasses serve as water goblets.
I adore how their simplicity adds an air of elegance to this Seasonal setting!

Awaiting Autumn's Arrival
has been set throughout the dining room.

All that is left
is to  Savor the Season ~

                        On Crooked Creek!

Until next time. . .

Pat, this is such a sweet setting! You've given me some great ideas, as it has been 22 years, since I have set tables for 2! Now that we are empty nesters, I have been looking for ideas. I love all of the warm colors that you've used!
