Harvest Home. . .

Our family Thanksgiving celebration will be hosted On Crooked Creek this year! So~o~o~ once the newly installed carpet was completed. . . and the furniture put back into place. . .The Harvest Home decor began!

The "family farm" vintage window that sits atop the entertainment unit needed a harvest touch for this years festivities. Turning my French Gathering Basket on its side gave a warm, textural backdrop for the faux pumpkin vine. I adore the vivid orange blossoms! The addition of the faux pumpkin completes this Harvest vignette.

Magnolia leaves add the continued softer side of Autumn that blends warmly into Harvest. The bronze leaves mimic the wicker hues of the French Gathering Basket.

To keep the Harvest fires burning ~ the vintage kerosene lamps are elevated to varying heights using books disguised behind the magnolia swags.

Being  a symmetrical decorator, I may use different elements, but like to balance each side of this huge 11 foot entertainment unit.

Additional leaf picks were inserted into the magnolia swags and placed into the floral bouquet of the straw angel.

Here's a quick look at the new carpet that covers the entire upper level On Crooked Creek.  Simply titled Esto . . .  the shade is Sediment. . . a product of Downs carpeting. "Mr. Ed" and I are smitten with the movement it gives throughout our home. Our son states that the carpet gives the illusion of running vines, but subtly. I agree!

Truly, a Harvest Home. . .On Crooked Creek!

Until next time. . .
