Breakfast With The Birds???

Just before my state of being unemployed. . .
I longed to have breakfast on our deck.

Breakfast in the coolness of the morning just watching the birds (and squirrel) frolicking at the bird feeders and bird bath while enjoying a leisurely breakfast with "Mr. Ed"!

When I was able to be an "at home" person, once again. . .
the temperatures here on the Prairie were in the triple digits! ! !

So~o~o. . .
On Crooked Creek my desired Breakfast With the Birds was done from our dining area.

Bringing the farmhouse dining chairs to the side, both "Mr. Ed" and I could view the birds through the patio doors!

I chose a wrought iron verdigris bird feeder for the centerpiece.
Look, a few fine feathered friends have "dropped in" to join us this morning!

Hm~m~m...looks as if this is one bird feeder "Mr. Ed" forgot to fill this morning!

All kidding aside, I adore how the green leaf majolica platter mimics the wrought iron bird feeder in the centerpiece!!!

The bird's eye view of our breakfast table!

The rim shot shows an unusual combination of hues. . .
much like those in the choice of place mats and napkins!
Double napkins are adorned with our rustic wrought iron dragonfly napkin rings. Simple green lucite garage $ale find flatware is almost the same hue in the majolica dinnerware.

A scalloped white dinner plate added to enhance the space between the yellow and green stacked plates and accentuate the majolica!

Bee stemware for freshly squeezed orange juice and mugs for steaming Colombian blend black coffee. Large mugs so that "Mr. Ed" and I can leisurely enjoy the company of our fine feathered friends that visit daily On Crooked Creek!

Sunshine streaming through the patio door. . .

reflects the mornings rays

that beckons us out ~of ~doors!

Simply delicious breakfast of . . .

Hot Ham Croissants
Freshly Sliced Strawberries
Orange Juice
Colombian Blend Coffee

Slice your croissants in half.
Lightly spread the bottom croissant with Dijon mustard.
Layer with slices of thinly cut ham.
Sprinkle with grated cheese.

Place over medium eggs atop the cheese.
Then top with the other half of the croissant.

Into a 350 degree oven just for 5 minutes,
until golden brown,
cheese is melted and a slight crunch to the croissant!

While the croissants are in the oven. . .
wash, hull and slice strawberries.
Add one teaspoon sugar, stir until well combined.

Pour orange juice,
spoon strawberries into individual serving dishes. . .

Remove croissants from oven and place on serving dishes!

Breakfast with the Birds. . .
On Crooked Creek. . .

Until next time. . .

FYI:

A quick call to our son and daughter~in~law this morning confirms that a second MoM's Menu will be coming soon!!!

Such a pretty table -- and I know what you mean about being INSIDE instead of OUTSIDE!!! Way too hot! But you got to watch the birds anyway -- just from the comfort of inside!

Thanks for the suggestion on the stripe. I always take all of my fabric samples with me, just couldn't find anything. I will just keep shopping. Hugs, Marty

Hi Dear Pat! I do believer you made the right decision to have your breakfast inside! :) Your table is so beautiful and your dishes are so pretty. Love the centerpiece and everything else. Your breakfast croissants look and sound so good. Strawberries are just my favorite! :) Hope you got some little bird action out of your window.
Be a sweetie and thanks for popping in to see me.
