A Palescape Tablescape. . .

Winter brings hues of white,
silver and taupe with a touch of green
for a palescape tablescape On Crooked Creek!

This elegant tablescape draws its beauty
from simple everyday china.

Silver chargers placed atop a taupe linen table topper
add illumination to the white porcelain china.

A touch of formality is given to this place setting
by the use of heirloom silver flatware.

Place makers created from lacy paper doilies
add a romantic touch to the place setting.

The rim shot gives a glimpse of the choice of stemware.

The crystal etched wine glasses, with ringed green bases
from our European tours of duty, make a striking contrast
to the vintage crystal rose etched water goblets,
yet the two are quite complementary
when pared alongside one another.

Vintage white damask napkins are drawn through
white wrought iron bird napkin rings.

The centerpiece is composed of ice crystallized Boston fern
placed in a white ironstone lattice embossed planter
and flanked on either side
by crystal heirloom candlestick holders.

Creamy ivory tapers surrounded by ivory pip berry candle rings
continue the pale monochromatic hues of Winter.

This palescape tablescape with its bright,
light and sophisticated palette
gives a burst of life and freshness
to the otherwise dreary, gray days of Winter here on the Praire.

On Crooked Creek
a palescape tablescape of Winter
awakens the senses and revitalizes the soul!

Until next time. . .

Perfection! This is a beautiful approach to a winter table, Pat. Love the idea of the doily as the place card. I'm going to use that idea soon. ;-)

Those green stem glasses remind me of ones passed down from my Mom...I must dig them out and use them soon!
